The book brings out that Merlin was a discoverer -- noticing things in the natural world and how they function and then considers how they relate to and interact to each other. He was before his time I think. He would have loved being a scientist today.
Honestly have not had a chance to finish the book--I hopped skipped and dived into to some fascinating chapters.

I think the author was promoting 20 other books instead of writing about Merlin. About every 5th page something about Merlin would be printed. It's my fault for buying a book from a author that can't even decide what her last name is.
I have always been fascinated with the entire Arthurian legend and do beleive that it's more than just a story. I am always looking for more historical facts regarding Merlin specifically and this is a great read. I'm hoping they'll make a movie out of it as it would be nice to know more about Merlin. Highly recommended.
Most magicians, let alone lay people, have no idea of true history of Merlin. This tome really delves into the intricate details of Merlin's influence on the people throughout the ages. Just amassing this information was incredible. Very, very interesting. Thank you. Ron
